This past weekend, The Henry Project had the incredible privilege of joining Ukrainian Zion’s Family Day in Kharkiv. Alongside our amazing partners at Fierce Calm and the Spirit of Ukraine Foundation, we hosted a Backpacks for Kids Event that filled the day with laughter, joy, and hope for so many children.
The energy was infectious. Children ran, played games, and expressed their creativity through a handprint craft that will serve as a lasting memory of this special day. Of course, no celebration is complete without ice cream 🍦, and the children eagerly enjoyed this sweet treat. But the highlight for many was receiving backpacks filled with school supplies, ready to support their education and growth.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we were also able to add an extra surprise: gaming consoles 🎮. These aren’t just toys—they are small moments of joy and escape, providing children with a safe way to entertain themselves during air alarms and reminding them that play and laughter are still possible, even in a city under constant threat
We are deeply grateful to Fierce Calm, the Spirit of Ukraine Foundation, and all of our donors and supporters. Your dedication shows these children that they are not forgotten and that a community of people believe in their resilience and strength.
Every backpack, every smile, every shared laugh is a reminder that even amidst challenging circumstances, hope, joy, and togetherness can flourish.
